Synopsis
Dear Sisters, in Islam, happiness is viewed as a state of contentment and inner peace that comes from living a life guided by faith and piety.
Islamic teachings emphasize the importance of finding joy and fulfillment in worshipping Allah, fulfilling our duties to family and society, and seeking knowledge.
The concept of happiness in Islam is closely tied to the idea of "contentment with one's decree" (qana'a), which encourages you to be grateful for what you have and to trust in Allah's wisdom and providence.
Islam also teaches that true happiness comes from living a life of moderation and balance, while avoiding excess and extravagance in pursuit of material possessions or worldly pleasures.
YES, it's fine not having that branded handbag that everyone is raving about!
Instead, WE are encouraged to focus on cultivating virtuous qualities such as patience, humility, gratitude, and compassion towards others.
Ultimately, the path to happiness in Islam is seen as a journey of self-improvement and spiritual growth, guided by the teachings of the Quran and the example of the Rasulullah s.a.w.
Let us change our perspective and expound the depth of gratitude that ALLAH has given us, as we navigate our test.
WE have the potential to be grateful and draw strength from it.
WE just need to know HOW!
Join us, along with Ustazah Nazeerah Shaik Alwie and Ustazah Ne'mat Shukor, as we dive deep to find the TRUE meaning of HAPPINESS.
By striving to live a life of faith, integrity, and service to others, you, too, can achieve true-lasting happiness in this world and the Hereafter, INSHA'ALLAH!
